Presented by Albany Pro Musica, the Pro Musica International Choral Festival (PMICF) is the organization’s flagship educational program, designed to bring together the next generation of choral artists in an immersive, high-level musical experience. Set at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, the festival convenes 150 advanced high school singers and ensembles from across the United States and Canada for a week of intensive study, collaboration, and performance.
Guided by a distinguished, world-class faculty, participants engage directly with leading voices in the choral field, including composer and conductor in residence Dr. Rollo Dilworth and Festival Artistic Director Dr. José Daniel Flores-Caraballo, Opalka Family Artistic Director of Albany Pro Musica.
The festival experience is anchored by performances featuring Albany Pro Musica and the Canadian Chamber Choir, as well as opportunities for student singers to perform both within their own ensembles and as part of the 150-voice-strong Festival Chorus.
