The Escher String Quartet
Albany Pro Musica’s Artist Series brings the world renowned Escher String Quartet to perform with the fine voices of Albany Pro Musica, featuring the stunningly beautiful music of APM’s Composer-in-Residence, Ola Gjeilo. Gjeilo is one of the most frequently performed composers in the choral world. Although he is Norwegian by birth, it is perhaps Gjeilo’s adopted country of America that has influenced the composer’s distinctive sound world the most, with a lush, harmonious style that is often described as cinematic and evocative.
