Albany Pro Musica

High School Choral Festival

COMING TO TSBMH: January 27, 2019

Imagine being 16 years old and performing for the first time on the stage of Troy Savings Bank Music Hall! This is the opportunity of a lifetime for many of the high school choruses participating in Albany Pro Musica’s annual High School Choral Festival.

This is Albany Pro Musica’s 19th year of hosting this beloved invitational festival of regional high school choirs. Each school performs its own set of musical offerings, and then guest composer and conductor Brad Ellingboe, whose more than 150 published compositions and arrangements are favorites of choral ensembles across the world.

Albany Pro Musica invites you to take part in a truly unique musical experience! On January 27th, join us in collaborating with renowned composer and conductor Bradley Ellingboe as we rehearse and perform his challenging and inspiring music. Troy Savings Bank Music Hall will create the perfect atmosphere for this festival where students and teachers will work together and share music with one another in an encouraging and motivating environment. This amazing educational experience will culminate in a full concert featuring performances from each choir, Albany Pro Musica, and the full chorus of nearly 250 voices under the direction of both Bradley Ellingboe, and also the esteemed director of Albany Pro Musica, Dr. José Daniel Flores-Caraballo.
